Welcome to the official Silly Software website.
Silly Software was formed in 1993 with myself (Deano Sharples) as the programmer and founder along with Tony (Tonesoft) Gooding as the artist. Together we programmed a number of software programs for the Atari ST. After Silly Software split up around 1995 I ported some titles to the Amiga along with a couple of other games I wrote myself. Before Silly Software I wrote other software such as the STOS Adventure Creator and Beer Monster.
I have uploaded all the programs I coded to this website which you can download in the SOFTWARE section. Both in emulator format and the original files that can be run on a real Amiga or ST.
Also included is the GALLERY section where I uploaded screenshots of magazine reviews from ST Format, ST Review, ST User and Amiga Format. Also added pictures of me at an Atari computer show when I was the STOS editor of ST Plus.
The last Silly Software release was Grafix The Easy Way Art Tutor. Sadly the original program has gone forever but I did retain the images from the tutorial and you can learn how to create 2D cartoon graphics as I have made a website version which you can find here.
All the ST Games were programmed in STOS Basic while the Amiga versions were programmed in Amos Pro. For many years I wrote STOS tutorials for Stosser Diskzine with I have also included here.
This website is a monument to all the happy years I had with my STE along with all the friends I met in the STOS world. Those years were very special to me and this website has been created to reserve all those cherished times for ever.
You are welcome to download and distribute all content on this website as long as you are not making profit on it.
